Editing an image as a document, not a disposable upload
A photograph of paper is often already the document people need to finish. Opening it directly in the editor removes the pointless first conversion and keeps the photograph, page tools and final formats in one continuous workspace.
The picture becomes the page itself
A JPG, PNG or WebP opens with its own proportions as the complete page. A narrow receipt stays narrow, a landscape whiteboard stays wide and a square design stays square. There is no automatic A4 sheet around it and no artificial margin that makes a careful crop smaller than the file you chose.
The source image remains a selectable page object, so it can be cropped, rotated, flipped, resized or replaced without starting again. The editor keeps the original source for comparison and restore, while undo history and the local recovery draft protect every adjustment made after opening.
Crop once and keep working
Cropping is part of the editor rather than a preparation screen. Tighten the photograph around the paper, then continue immediately with text, signatures, highlights, drawing, links, shapes, form fields or permanent redaction. The crop stays non-destructive until export, which means the handles can be reopened and corrected instead of degrading the image through repeated saves.
This matters for ordinary jobs such as signing a photographed permission slip, removing the desk around a receipt, annotating a screenshot or turning a photographed notice into a clean PDF attachment. The job is completed around the source instead of bounced between unrelated converters.
Printed words can become editable objects
When the image is a document photo, local recognition can read the printed page and reconstruct its words as selectable editor objects. You can search the recognised text, review uncertain words and correct a printed line while the original image remains beneath it. Recognition language can be detected automatically or chosen explicitly for multilingual pages.
Recognition is evidence, not magic. Blur, glare, handwriting, decorative lettering and text over photographs can remain uncertain, so the review controls expose weak words instead of pretending confidence. For a normal clear scan, however, opening the JPG can lead directly to editable page content without first manufacturing a separate PDF by hand.
Choose the format at the end
The save dialog offers verified PDF, high-quality JPG and lossless PNG from the same edited state. PDF is the stable document choice and can keep searchable text, links and supported form fields. JPG is compact for messages, websites and slides. PNG is larger but keeps sharp type and graphics without JPEG compression artefacts.
If the workspace grows to several pages, image export creates one numbered file per page and verifies a single ZIP package before download. The result is rendered from the same finished PDF that the editor verifies, so image output cannot quietly omit a crop, annotation, page rotation or other visible edit.
Image privacy includes the pixels
Document photos can contain passports, addresses, signatures and background details that were never meant to leave the device. Decoding, orientation correction, editing, text recognition, recovery and export all run inside the browser. Neither the image nor its recognised text or filename is sent to a processing server.
