Remove selected pages from a PDF

Enter the pages to delete, keep the remaining sequence together and save the result as a separate PDF.

Select pages against the original numbering

Enter a deletion list such as 3, 7, 12-14. The complete selection is resolved against the original numbering before removal, so later page numbers do not change while the operation is being applied.

Pages not listed remain in their source order. A request that would delete every page is refused because the resulting PDF must contain at least one page.

The entered values refer to page positions in the source PDF, not numbers printed in a header or footer. Use the preview to match displayed content with the intended positions.

Clean document structures after removal

Bookmarks and links that point to deleted pages are pruned, page labels are rebuilt for the remaining sequence and supported form structures are cleaned of fields that existed only on removed pages.

The output is reopened and checked before download. Test any surviving bookmark, link or form field that matters to the document, because its page position may have changed after removal.

Page removal is a structural operation rather than content redaction. If information on a kept page must be permanently removed, redact that content before preparing the final shared copy.

Save a separate copy in the browser

The operation runs in this browser and creates a new file. The selected source is not sent to a document-processing server and remains unchanged on disk if a different deletion list is needed.

Open the saved result in another PDF reader and check page count, order, displayed numbering and the pages on either side of every deletion before using or sharing it.

Use Extract pages when the keep list is shorter

Remove pages is convenient when the unwanted pages are a short known list, such as blank scan backs or one obsolete appendix. The rest of the document stays together automatically.

When only a few pages should remain, enter those pages in Extract pages instead of listing many deletions. Split PDF is the separate option when every retained page needs its own file.

Questions
How are pages selected for removal?

Enter page numbers or ranges such as 2, 5-8. Blank pages are not detected automatically, and at least one page must remain.

How is a different removal selection made?

The source PDF remains unchanged, so start again with a different page list and save another copy.

How does page removal affect file size?

Removing pages usually reduces the file size, although shared PDF resources can make the reduction smaller than expected.

Which removal selections are invalid?

Each selected page must exist in the source, and at least one page must remain in the document.
