Sign a PDF
Draw a visible signature, place it on the required page and save a new PDF without changing the source file.
Draw and place a visible signature
Draw with a mouse, trackpad, finger or stylus, then place the signature on the page and resize it to fit the available line. Its proportions remain fixed while it is scaled or moved.
The same drawn signature can be placed more than once during the current document session, including on duplicate signature pages or beside separate initial fields. Each placement remains independently selectable.
Keep signature strokes sharp
The editor records the drawn strokes as line segments and writes them into the PDF as vector drawing instructions. The signature therefore remains sharp when the page is zoomed or printed at high resolution.
Vector path data is also compact compared with a high-resolution signature image. The exact file-size change depends on the source PDF and the number of placements added to the document.
Complete the surrounding form
Add dates or typed text beside the signature, tick checkboxes and complete supported fields already present in the PDF. These edits can be reviewed together before the signed copy is exported.
When preparing a form for another person, the editor can add PDF text fields, checkboxes, radio groups and dropdowns. The recipient can complete those supported interactive fields in a compatible PDF reader.
Distinguish visible and digital signatures
This tool adds a visible drawn signature to the page. It does not create a certificate-backed digital signature, a document timestamp or a qualified electronic signature.
Confirm which signature type the recipient or process requires before using the tool. Editing a certified or digitally signed PDF may invalidate its certification, so keep the signed original unchanged.
Keep signature data in the browser
The PDF and newly drawn signature strokes are processed in this browser. They are used for the current document and are not saved for reuse by default or sent to a document-processing server.
Export creates a separate PDF and leaves the source file unchanged. Open the saved copy in another reader, inspect every signature placement and confirm that required form values are still present.
