Privacy
Website privacy, in plain English
This page describes the public website and browser tools available at rebuildfree.app. It does not extend claims from the separate iOS app or development workbench.
Files used in web tools
The working tools on this website process selected files locally in your web browser. The site does not upload the file, filename, document contents or extracted text to Rebuild. Processing code is downloaded to your device and creates the result there.
Files and results can remain in the tab’s memory until you remove them, refresh the page or close the tab. Downloaded results are saved wherever your browser normally saves downloads.
Analytics, advertising and cookies
The website includes Google AdSense code for site verification and to prepare advertising. When that code loads, Google may receive ordinary request information such as your IP address, browser and device details, and the page requested. If ads are enabled, Google and its advertising partners may also use cookies or similar storage and process ad interactions to deliver, measure and protect advertising.
Rebuild does not include document files, filenames, extracted text or tool results in advertising requests. Browser document tools continue to process those files locally. A Google-certified consent message will be enabled where required before advertising is activated, and visitors can use that message to manage their advertising choices. Read more in Google’s explanation of data from partner sites.
The site does not currently use Google Analytics, remote fonts or user accounts. Cloudflare’s ordinary hosting and security processing is described below.
Hosting and ordinary web logs
The static site is delivered through Cloudflare Pages. Like other hosting services, Cloudflare may process ordinary request information such as IP address, browser details, requested path and security events to deliver and protect the site. Rebuild does not put document contents into those requests.
Development tools are separate
The repository also contains a local development capture workbench that can send an image to a locally running Node and Python process. It is not deployed as part of this static public website and is not linked as a public tool.
Changes and questions
This notice should be updated before accounts, remote processing, analytics, materially different advertising or optional cloud services are added. The separate mobile app privacy notice covers the iPhone and iPad beta, advertising SDK and planned Android status. Use the contact page for privacy questions.
