Rotate every page in a PDF

Apply a 90, 180 or 270 degree rotation to every page by changing the PDF page instruction rather than re-rendering its content.

Change the PDF rotation instruction

A PDF page contains a rotation value that tells a reader how to display its coordinate system. This tool updates that value without repainting the page or converting its objects into an image.

Text, images and vector graphics remain in their existing page content. The instruction change is lossless and reversible, so applying the opposite rotation restores the previous orientation. No pixels are regenerated, image compression is unchanged and selectable text does not become a bitmap or alter its vector paths.

Apply one angle to the complete document

Choose 90, 180 or 270 degrees and apply that angle to every page. This supports a complete scan fed sideways or upside down, where all source pages need the same correction.

When only selected pages need rotation, use the Organise PDF workspace and turn them individually with the thumbnail rail. The focused Rotate PDF operation does not take a page-range selection.

Save the corrected orientation in the file

A temporary viewer command may affect only the current display session. Changing the page rotation value writes the intended orientation into the new PDF for other readers and print workflows.

The result is checked before download and the source file remains unchanged. Open the saved copy in another reader and confirm the first, last and any mixed-orientation pages before replacing a working copy.

Rotation runs in this browser without uploading the selected document to a processing server. Applying another rotation to the exported copy can correct an angle chosen in error.

Correct rotation at capture when possible

For repeated scanner batches, check the device's feed-direction or orientation setting against the way pages enter the tray. A corrected setting can prevent every page in later files from arriving sideways.

Phone photos may record orientation from the device position at capture time. Hold the phone consistently, review the first page before completing a batch and rotate the PDF only when the stored result remains incorrect.

Questions
How are upside-down pages corrected?

Choose 90, 180 or 270 degrees. Rotate applies one angle to all pages; use Organise PDF when only selected pages need correction.

What changes when a PDF is rotated?

The operation changes page rotation metadata without re-encoding text, images or vector content.

What happens to the source PDF?

The source remains unchanged, and the rotated result downloads as a separate file.

Which PDFs need unlocking first?

Password-protected PDFs must be unlocked before rotation.
