Editing a line of text, redesigning a brochure, merging pages and reviewing a contract are different jobs. Start with the action the document needs rather than choosing a product by the length of its feature list.

Rebuild and Adobe Acrobat online
Adobe Acrobat combines web, desktop and mobile products for editing, comments, signatures, conversion, forms and review. Available features and limits vary between the online tools, the Reader app and paid Acrobat plans.
Acrobat suits workflows that depend on its desktop controls, shared review features or enterprise administration. Adobe's online PDF editor uploads the selected file to Adobe's service for processing.
Rebuild and Canva PDF Editor
Canva imports a PDF into a design project and converts supported content into editable design elements. That model is useful when a PDF will become a presentation, social graphic or redesigned marketing asset.
Canva provides templates and collaborative creative tools, while Rebuild keeps supported work in a document-focused browser workflow. Check a Canva import carefully when font matching, forms, links or PDF behaviour must remain intact.
Rebuild and iLovePDF web tools
iLovePDF provides a broad collection of PDF operations through web, desktop and mobile products. Its catalogue includes common page, conversion, security and optimisation tasks, with availability depending on product and plan.
The iLovePDF web tools upload files for processing, and the company publishes its deletion and security practices. Its desktop application can process supported work offline; Rebuild runs its supported web tasks in the browser.
Rebuild browser tools
Rebuild provides focused browser tools for editing, organising, recognising, converting, signing and filling PDFs. Supported processing runs on the device, core tools require no account and each result is saved as a new file.
The current web product does not replace every desktop editor or collaborative document system. Use a different product when the job depends on an unsupported feature, platform, shared-review process or administrative control.

File handling
Rebuild reads and processes the selected document in the browser; it does not upload that file to a Rebuild processing server. Adobe Acrobat online and iLovePDF web tools use server processing for the selected file.
The Rebuild website still makes normal requests for pages, scripts and optional consented analytics or advertising. Those requests do not include the document, its extracted text or the finished download.
Task limits
The browser tools cover PDF editing, page organisation, OCR, conversion, compression, signatures, forms and export. Each tool page states the formats and limits it supports.
Complex handwriting, dense tables, difficult reading order, certified signatures and specialist formats may need another workflow. Check recognised text and converted structure against the source.

Choose the product by the job
Use the product that supports the required task, source document and output. A visual redesign, a regulated approval process and a quick page merge need different criteria.
For business, legal or regulated documents, follow the organisation's approved security, retention and platform rules. Check current plan terms and file-handling policies with the provider before adopting a workflow.

Check the result
Test a representative, non-sensitive file before moving an important workflow to any product. Include the fonts, forms, links, page sizes, scans or signatures that make the real documents difficult.
Open the exported result in an independent PDF reader. Check every page, search and copy known text, test links and forms, and inspect changed areas before the document is shared or the source is removed.
